Most makes things very well For the Twins Daddy Watch video here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3PV6VRTDTV77L Unlike most of the comments here that litter the VPC-PD2BK, I just spent three weeks with her and I have very few complaints. I know HD video. We recorded videos in HD family as the Sony HDR-HC1 first came out and now the use of the HDR-HC7 as our main camera. I shot literally hundreds of hours of HD video with Sony and Sanyo camcorders our model makes things about as well as they do. What to say, because the Sanyo obviously lacks the sophistication and internal optics that are present in the Sony ... But it is a fraction of the cost and fits comfortably in your shirt pocket. Not sure exactly what the previous reviews are expected when the unit was purchased Sanyo ... But it seems that some of them wanted one of the Mino or Kodak models and probably just buy it in the first place.
Most of the complaints of poor quality video, probably goes back to try to see the video in Quicktime HD via a "standard" PC ... It's terrible. But that's not the fault of the Sanyo (or any other recording device high definition). For example, the video clip I uploaded was recorded in 1280 the Sanyo x 720, 60 fps "HD-HR" format. * Optical - 5 / 5. The 3-fold optical zoom really makes a difference compared with interpolation software that comes with a 3X digital zoom. Photos taken 10MP are crisp and clear and the video quality is exceptional for something so compact when connected to a HDTV 50 "plasma via HDMI Mini connection. * Video - 5 / 5. I have not even tried to watch any video on our PC, as they have the power to edit such footage. But when connected to HDMI on a TV, video quality is excellent and comparable to anything shot with our Sony HDR-HC7. I shot the video in "HD-HR", which is 1280 x 720, 60 fps of human resources. Our plasma has a native resolution of 720p and the video is crisp and clear. I have no complaints.
* Audio - 4 / 5. This is difficult. I love the dual microphone (stereo) of this capacity Sanyo. Why would you want to record HD video and watch / listen in mono sound anyway? The microphones are very sensitive, perhaps to a fault. I dock a point here because there is a low-level hiss video appears with long periods of silence. The engine sound is also reflected optical zoom and is significantly higher when zooming in and out during the video. I find these things unacceptable. * Flash - 5 / 5. This is what has been so lost in so many portable video recorders, while it is a fact of digital cameras that also record videos ...
